Textile Treatments and Challenges!

Joyce Hulbert will discuss her experience dealing with infill/lacunae in several conservation mounting projects, and her ideas developed with ancient tapestry.

Elise Yvonne Rousseau will be talking about comprehensive mold and pest abatement in large infested collections textiles and historic objects with the use of CO2 anoxia, as well as the cleaning and repair of a 17th c. Dutch painted leather Leather Screen, and a selection from th Dan Scheinman Collection of Historic Baseball Uniforms dating from the 1880s, Flags and Americana Folk Art from the Kit Hinrichs Stars and Stripes collection and Spanish Colonial Vestments from the Mission California Period.
