Tour of the Conservation Lab of the Phoebe A. Hearst Museum of Anthropology

The Bay Area Art Conservation Guild invites its membership to the

Phoebe A. Hearst Museum of Anthropology
University of California, Berkeley

BAACG members will get a private tour of the conservation lab, plus a guided tour of the museum’s current exhibit:

The Conservator’s Art: Preserving Egypt’s Past

Saturday, October 1, 2011 from 10:30 am to noon

The Hearst Museum is located in Kroeber Hall
on Bancroft Way at College Avenue, directly across from Café Strada.
It is on the southern edge of the campus of the University of California in Berkeley.

Please meet in the Kroeber Hall lobby,
just inside the double doors at the end of the portico on the side of the building.
Participants may choose to adjourn for lunch at a nearby café after the tour.

The tour is free to members of BAACG. Members may bring guest for a $5 per person fee, space permitting.
Non-members may join BAACG at the time of the tour for a $15 membership fee.

You must sign up for a spot on the tour, as space is limited.
There will be no last minute additions to the list, and no one who is not on the list will be admitted.

Metered parking is available on streets near the Museum.
Paid public parking is available for a nominal fee at Berkeley Public Parking, 2420 Durant, west of Telegraph. The museum is a 15 minute (uphill) walk from the downtown Berkeley BART station.
